The series was formerly known as Comparative Studies on Education, Culture and Technology / Vergleichende Studien zur Bildung, Kultur und Technik and was edited by Tomasz Stępień. From vol. 8 onwards, it continues as Studies on Culture, Technology and Education and is edited by Krzysztof Abriszewski.

The series Studies in Linguistics, Anglophone Literatures and Cultures focuses primarily on various aspects of both theoretical and applied linguistics. Based on a broad understanding of Anglophone literature and culture, it approaches its topics either synchronically or diachronically. In principle, its monographs and collections of articles are devoted to the English language, literatures and cultures of the English speaking countries. However, comparative or contrastive studies are also welcome. The editors, as well as numerous contributors to its volumes, are affiliated with the University of Rzeszów, but researchers representing other academic centres are by all means invited to contribute individual monographs, or collections of papers. The range of topics and theoretical approaches remains unlimited in the case of all three disciplines.

This interdisciplinary and international book series aims to bring together current approaches in the environmental humanities (particularly in the fields of ecocriticism, environmental history, and environmental justice), with a focus on European contexts. It comprises thematic and theoretical studies which engage ecological issues, climate change, and the discourse of the Anthropocene, seeking to understand the forms of their representation across different media, cultures, and historical periods. „Studies in Literature, Culture, and the Environment" aim to connect the environmental humanities to the social and natural sciences and thus to contribute to the remediation of ecological problems. Regensburger Arbeiten zur Anglistik und Amerikanistik / Regensburg Studies in British and American Languages and Cultures

The series Regensburg Studies in British and American Languages and Cultures was established in 1971 and publishes studies on the languages, literatures and cultures of North America, the British Isles, as well as the English-speaking regions of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Caribbean. Within a transhistorical, transnational and interdisciplinary conceptual framework, the monographs in this series have stressed different areas of focus in their engagement with textual, performative, visual, material and virtual forms of representation. Recent subjects of investigation have been, for instance, language variation and varieties of English as well as the representation and enactment of regional, (trans)national and global identities. Die Buchreihe Regensburger Arbeiten zur Anglistik und Amerikanistik besteht seit 1971 und publiziert Studien zu den Sprachen, Literaturen und Kulturen Nordamerikas, der britischen Inseln sowie der englischsprachigen Regionen Afrikas, Asiens, Ozeaniens und der Karibik. Transhistorisch, transnational und interdisziplinär ausgerichtet, wählen die Monographien der Reihe je unterschiedliche Schwerpunkte in ihrer Auseinandersetzung mit textuellen, performativen, visuellen, materiellen oder virtuellen Repräsentationsformen. Untersuchungsgegenstände der letzten Jahre waren beispielsweise die sprachlichen Varietäten des Englischen sowie Darstellungen und Inszenierungen von regionalen, (trans)nationalen und globalen Identitäten.

The series aims at bringing together the long-divorced disciplines of the study of language, literature and culture by inviting scholars working in each of these areas to consider the unique implications of their own field in a larger epistemic context. The interdisciplinary approach of volumes in the series should allow to develop a scholarly discourse which affords a comprehensive picture of English studies. Editors wish to include both text- and corpus-based research as well as works of theoretical concern. Monographs and collections of articles appearing in the series will focus primarily on English and American language, literature and culture, but studies with a comparative slant are also invited.

Die Geschichte der europäischen Neuzeit wird geprägt von der Herausbildung von Nationalstaaten, die kontinuierlich unter Bildung jeweils wechselnder Allianzen in militärische, konfessionelle, kulturelle und wirtschaftliche Konkurrenz um die Vorherrschaft in Europa und außerhalb dessen in Konkurrenz treten. Diese Buchreihe bietet ein Forum für Studien, die kulturelle Ausdrucksformen und Institutionen von Nationalstaaten einerseits kontrastiv untersuchen, um diese aus ihren historischen und gesellschaftlichen Bedingungen besser verstehen zu können. Neste contexto as dimensões midiáticas das produções culturais são examinadas em suas respectivas configurações, considerando referências intertextuais, bem como contextos sociais, políticos e históricos. Levando em conta a crescente internacionalização dos estudos luso-brasileiros, a série abrange publicações em português, alemão e inglês. Aus kulturwissenschaftlicher Perspektive, unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Literatur- und Medienwissenschaften, präsentiert die Schriftenreihe aktuelle Entwicklungen und Paradigmen der internationalen Lusitanistik. Sie erschließt auch signifikante Phänomene der portugiesischsprachigen Kulturen, die bislang wenig Beachtung finden, mit einem besonderen Augenmerk auf den komplexen Dynamiken und vielfältigen Verflechtungen kultureller Ausdruckformen, die aus transregionalen und globalen Austauschprozessen hervorgegangen sind bzw. durch diese entstehen. The object of these interdisciplinary series is above all studies from the Nordic countries which deal with questions in the field of literary, linguistic and cultural studies. Special emphasis is placed on phenomena of interculturality and transculturality respectively as well as on aspects of the teaching and learning of other languages. Against this background these series at the same time aim to close a gap between theory and practical use. Gegenstand der interdisziplinär angelegten Reihe sind Arbeiten vor allem aus den nordischen Ländern, die sich mit literatur-, sprach- und kulturwissenschaftlichen Fragestellungen beschäftigen. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt auf Phänomenen der Inter- bzw. Transkulturalität sowie auf Aspekten des Lehrens und Lernens anderer Sprachen. Vor diesem Hintergrund versteht die Reihe sich zugleich als Brückenschlag zwischen Theorie und Praxis.

Studies in Philosophy, Culture and Contemporary Society

The aim of the series is to present classical philosophical thought and knowledge about problems and processes which take place in contemporary society. Such a perspective stems from the very relationship between philosophy and social sciences, which is both dynamic and reflexive. On the one hand, in its pure form as a ‘theoria,’ philosophical thought – even if sometimes abstracts from the social context – always remains an active observation that, in the long run, has an impact on social processes, and especially on social sciences. On the other hand, there is a reverse process in which social phenomena directly stimulate philosophical thought. As part of the series, we plan to publish monographs and volumes dealing with specific problems or social phenomena. Furthermore, the works of Polish societies, like The Polish Leibnizian Society and The Bachelard Society ‘Mythopaeia’, and others will be published.
