This series aims at exploring and evaluating the various aspects of biblical traditions as studied, understood, taught, and lived in the Christian communities that spoke and wrote – and some continue speaking and writing – in the Aramaic, Arabic, Armenian, Coptic, Georgian, Romanian, Syriac, and other languages of the Orthodox family of churches. A particular focus of this series is the incorporation of the various methodologies and hermeneutics used for centuries in these Christian communities, into the contemporary critical approaches, in order to shed light on understanding the message of the Bible. Each monograph in the series will engage in critical examination of issues raised by contemporary biblical research. "In the "Institutional and Socio-Economics" book series, the economy is studied as a genuinely social system of heterogeneous agents in an institutional context. The series includes a broad range of different methodological approaches, theoretical perspectives and subjects of study. Interdependencies among agents in complex social systems can be studied using evolutionary economic models, as well as institutional economic and simulation studies. Hence, the focus is being laid on approaches that are more explorative than the standard equilibrium analysis; on approaches that allow for complexity; on approaches that consider development, history, institutions, and values. Thus, we may conclude that institutions are more than just devices for the reduction of transaction costs. From an institutionalist perspective, institutions are the common and collective solutions to social decision problems, particularly social dilemma problems, coordination problems, and collective-good problems. Such solutions require ‘recognized interdependence’ and learned coordination and cooperation, thus a learned culture of a long-run perspective – emerging as the result of a process of interactions. Institutions often are transitory only, part of the ongoing dynamics, adequately modeled possibly as an evolutionary process. Also, they may be instrumental solutions to a social decision problem at first and may degenerate into ceremonial power-and-status-based phenomena later, thus limiting the possibility of further innovation and development. In a genealogy of economics, the thematic and methodological spectrum of this book series would embrace the history of thought beginning with the classics including great names such as Adam Smith and Karl Marx but also the late classics who already have struggled with issues like complexity, process, historical time, and evolution. In newer times, the spectrum continues with Veblenian, Keynesian, and Post-Keynesian thinking; it would also include works in the traditions of original institutionalist economics, ecological economics, Neo-Schumpeterian thinking, evolutionary economics, and game theory. Social economics and social policy analysis, behavioral economics, complex modeling, system dynamics, and agent-based computational economics would be embraced as well. Such lists, however, can never be exhaustive. Last not least, institutional and socio-economics deals with the epistemology and substance of values, norms and ethics, value warrants of economic behavior as well as the normative foundations of economics. This series of monographs and books is designed as a contribution to the scholarly and academic understanding of religion. Such understanding is taken to involve both a descriptive and an explanatory task. As indicated by its name, this series is devoted to the interpretation of ancient Greek and Latin texts. It accommodates not only studies of special subjects and individual authors, but also annotated editions as well as commentaries. In the tradition of critical scholarship the collection is uncompromisingly philological without however excluding new approaches and methods of exegesis. Each of the volumes represents independent and original research which contributes to the understanding of ancient texts whether in the form of critical exposition or the investigation of specific problems. It is in this sense that they genuinely further the discipline of classical philology. At the same time the series welcomes studies of the reception and influence of ancient texts including in particular the history of their transmission as well as the historical development of philology in its various aspects. In order to reach as wide a readership as possible, publication is restricted to works written in those languages most commonly in use in classical scholarship. Special importance is attached to clear presentation and a choice of language that can be readily understood. Authors are moreover encouraged to provide translations wherever they would aid comprehension. Ultimately Sapheneia should not only advance classical studies,but also deepen our understanding of the intellectual tradition of the western world. Interfaces

The series explores issues in theoretical and applied linguistics, psycholinguistics, psychology of language and translation studies. While the volumes published in the series may present research in language, mind and translation seen as separate provenances, the overall aim of the series is to pinpoint possible interfaces occurring between them (for example between psycholinguistics and translation studies, psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics, cognitive linguistics and translation, etc.) as well as to uncover mutual interaction between these branches of science and other research areas, such as philosophy, media studies, education, multimodality and culture. The books within the series focus primarily on linguistics, which remains the main theme of the series, but they also include a wide range of topics traditionally investigated by a number of neighbouring disciplines, which are interwoven with language studies and inscribe within a wider framework of contemporary linguistics. The series presents studies conducted by Polish scholars, in particular by those affiliated with Bydgoszcz, and by our colleagues and research partners representing other universities. We also welcome submissions (monographs, collections of articles and post-conference volumes) from all those interested in issues remaining within the broad scope of the series themes. The series explores issues in theoretical and applied linguistics, psycholinguistics, psychology of language and translation studies. While the volumes published in the series may present research in language, mind and translation seen as separate provenances, the overall aim of the series is to pinpoint possible interfaces occurring between them (for example between psycholinguistics and translation studies, psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics, cognitive linguistics and translation, etc.) as well as to uncover mutual interaction between these branches of science and other research areas, such as philosophy, media studies, education, multimodality and culture. The books within the series focus primarily on linguistics, which remains the main theme of the series, but they also include a wide range of topics traditionally investigated by a number of neighbouring disciplines, which are interwoven with language studies and inscribe within a wider framework of contemporary linguistics. The series presents studies conducted by Polish scholars, in particular by those affiliated with Bydgoszcz, and by our colleagues and research partners representing other universities. We also welcome submissions (monographs, collections of articles and post-conference volumes) from all those interested in issues remaining within the broad scope of the series themes.

It is the purpose of this series to subject the large topic of German-America to new critical scrutiny. It does so as an international collaborative effort among scholars in disciplines ranging from modern languages to political history, from American Studies to anthropology, who present independently conceived publications as part of the larger project. This new series is a forum for the investigation and analysis of the contested terrain between culture, gender, and sexuality. Titles in the series can include, but are not limited to, (re)theorizations of gender in relation to, or its constitution through, sexuality, race, dass, or culture, studies of sexuality and sexual identity that produce new understandings of gender, or new inquiries into culture, broadly defined, that raise competting implications for the ways in which we think about gender and sexuality in the contemporary social world. Founded and co-edited (until Vol. 85, 2020) by Aage A. Hansen-Löve and Tilmann Reuther. Starting in 2021 the journal is co-edited by Ilja Kukuj, Riccardo Nicolosi, Brigitte Obermayr and Tilmann Reuther. Wiener Slawistischer Almanach publishes original research in all areas of Slavic Studies and provides a forum for a wide spectrum of literary, cultural, and linguistic discussions that push the boundaries of traditional scholarly disciplines and philological approaches. The biannual journal also accepts submissions of previously unpublished literary texts and archival materials, as well as proposals for thematic clusters of articles. The languages of publication include German, English, Russian, and other Slavic languages. The special Series „Wiener Slawistischer Almanach: Sonderbände" is primarily dedicated to publishing monographs. The Wiener Slawistischer Almanach is a peer-reviewed periodical (all articles go though the double-blind peer-review).

This series aims to provide a framework and opportunity for original research that explores both the ground and the goals of family and religion in the black tradition. Monographs in the series will examine the ways in which kinship networks wert forrned and maintained, how the community raised and socialized children, how they carved out a religion and fashioned a rieh and expressive culture that refleeted their uninhibited imagination and provided a means to articulate their hopes and Kurts, their dreams and doubts. Research will not only focus an the pass and present, but will also look at the adequacy of current modeln of family and religion to take the black community into the twenty-first century. The Centre for Swiss Cultural Studies in the Department of Modem Languages at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow (GB) was set up in 1996, formalising a long tradition of publication, research and teaching irr Swiss studies there. As part of the expansion of activities in publishing and in creating outlets for scholarly work, it was decided to launch a series, Occasional Papers in Swiss Studies. lt is envisaged that each volume of the series, which will appear at intervals of about a year, will bring together approximately six essays relating to a single theme and written by scholars in the field of Swiss studies. lt is the aim of the editors to select themes which have a contemporary dimension and, whilst the majority of the essays will have a literary focus, each number will contain at least one essay by a scholar in a discipline such as history or cultural studies. lt is hoped that the series will both present aspects of Swiss culture and contribute to general debate on matters Swiss.
