Introduction
What we offer to readers here is the next publication on big data and the use of artificial intelligence in the practice of science, economy and politics. This time our monograph focuses primarily on security matters, issues that are demanded by the international political and economic situation. Disinformation is a tool of hybrid war, shaping the social and economic environment long before the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Since February 2022, the issues of post-truth, fake news or disinformation have taken on an additional gravity.
The monograph is a result of the collaboration of scholars and experts from many academic centres and organisations, both domestic and international. The richness of the subjects addressed was achieved by inviting specialists from the University of Warsaw, the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the University of Silesia, the Gdańsk Medical University, the Faculty of Cybernetics of the Military Academy of Technology, the University of Technology and Economics in Warsaw, the Karkonosze University of Applied Sciences and the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University (Ukraine) to participate in the project.
