Summary

No matter how much we would like it to be otherwise, there is no simple straight-forward solutions to moral dilemmas and no simple straight-forward way to think about ethical issues. Every ethical problem can be examined using several perspectives, and thus, the outcome may vary depending on the path chosen. For centuries, philosophers have been trying to find answers to fundamental issues such as "What does it mean to be a ‘good’ person?" and "What should the laws and norms be?". Although these questions led to nuanced and insightful discussions attracting the attention of people from diverse aspects of life, so far there has been no absolute success in resolving them. However, by adding the tools of quantum paradigm to those of conventional philosophy, we may be able to shine more light on such difficult questions. Drawing upon one of the most famous quotes attributed to Plato - "the right question is usually more important than the right answer"- the purpose of this book is not to find the "right" answers. Instead, this book intends to offer the kind of insight that is drawn from behavioral science and the wisdom of influential philosophers spanning centuries. The book is designed to guide you to think about ethics through some important philosophers, social psychological experiments, and codes of ethics. This book will ensure that what answers you might arrive at the end will be built on a better foundation than before.
