Summary

In recent years, the application of artificial intelligence and big data analysis has become increasingly common, also in areas related to security and cybersecurity. The use of artificial intelligence and advanced utilities of big data analysis enabled a new critical perspective on many different areas of the world around us. The purpose of this volume is to present the perspectives of researchers, experts and scientists, who care about the problem of distortion of the image of reality by the authors of false narratives.
The book focuses primarily on security matters, issues are demanded by the international political and economic situation. Disinformation is a tool of hybrid war, shaping the social and economic environment long before the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Since February 2022, the issues of post-truth, fake news or disinformation have taken on an additional gravity.

Biographical notes

Aleksander Żołnierski (Volume editor) Dariusz Jaruga (Volume editor)

Aleksander ¯o³nierski has over 20 years of professional experience in private and public sector coupled with strong academic activity. Involved in advisory projects, using in practice the knowledge from research on innovation, communication and social capital. Engaged in business-related organizations and successfully applied academic and R&D knowledge in economic practice. Dariusz Jaruga holds a PhD in social sciences in the field of social communication and media. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechatronics of the Warsaw University of Technology. Author of publications in the field of obtaining new useful information from big databases of big data. In his research, he applies his own authored software; he is also an active programmer and administrator of IT systems. Since 2002, he has conducted classes from within practical applications of the currently used IT technologies. A co-founder of the ‘Big Data Management’ and ‘Cybersecurity’ studies programme in Warsaw of University.
